What is a chemical peeling?

Chemical peeling improves the condition of the skin by exfoliating the outer layers of the epidermis or/and the dermis. Depending on the type of the substance used, its concentration, and the application time, we can select the exfoliation level from shallow to very deep.

When to apply a chemical peeling?

Chemical peelings can be used to:

    • reduce discoloration,

    • reduce surface wrinkles and semi-deep wrinkles,

    • treat acne and post-acne scars,

    • treat cellulite,

    • treat stretch marks,

    • reduce blackheads and enlarged pores,

    • prepare the skin for other treatments,

    • prevent aging.

How does the skin react to a chemical peeling?

The peeling itself is not painful, although, towards the end of it, one can feel slight stinging in the skin. Directly after the peeling, the skin tends to be reddened and tightened. After a few days, the exfoliation begins.

How often should it be repeated?

The treatment consists of several chemical peelings. The exact number is determined by the problems the patient is facing. Usually, they are repeated every 7-14 days for about 2-3 months.
