What is Photorejuvenation?

Photorejuvenation is a skin treatment which utilizes laser and non-laser lights (IPL). It minimizes the results of aging, such as wrinkles, feeble skin, enlarged pores, discoloration, or dilated capillaries. Elsner Anti-Aging Clinic performs Photorejuvenation with the use of high-quality IPL equipment.

What does Photorejuvenation with the IPL look like?

A beam of light emitted by the IPL device is more dispersed than a traditional laser beam, therefore, it can reach multiple levels of the skin and work multidirectionally.

During a Photorejuvenation session:

    • collagen production is stimulated, which increases the firmness of the skin,

    • erythema is reduced in skins with dilated capillaries,

    • discoloration is reduced,

    • the skin's surface is smoothened, which leads to reduced wrinkles.

The effectiveness of the treatment is the result of a well-adjusted wave length (selected depending on the type of the treated issue) and the exposure time.

What are the effects of Photorejuvenation?

Even a single treatment will improve the overall condition of your skin. Thanks to the IPL, your skin will be smoother, rejuvenated, brighter, and free from blemishes that bothered you.

How often should the treatment be repeated?

In order to optimize the effect, it is advised to repeat the treatment 2-5 times.

Is Photorejuvenation painful?

Photorejuvenation is not too painful; normally, all you will feel is some warmth around the treated spot. Nonetheless, for patients with sensitive skin, we can apply a local anesthetic.

Are there any side effects?

Right after the treatment, the skin is slightly reddened, which recedes very quickly.
